New Nephew!

Yea! We have a new nephew! I just got back yesterday from Cedar City, where my sister, Rachel had her son. They named him Shawn Raymond Shumway. He is adorable. There is nothing like the feeling of a new baby in your arms. I was lucky enough to get the call early Wednesday morning from Rachel saying that she was in labor. I booked it down there and got there about 10 minutes before he was born. I was able to be with their other son Ty too. You should check out their blog to hear how Ty is handling a new brother. (Click on Shumway family under Other blogs.) He is hilarious.

Ty and I had a fun time cooking dinner and doing laundry. What other 2 year old asks if he can go put his socks in his drawer, says thank you and then acutally does it right? He was so fun and I am so grateful that Rachel and Ethan let me come stay with them and be there. I had a blast and I hope I wasn't in the way. Ty loves to sing and he sang to me a lot. He loves "The Wise Man and the Foolish Man." The sweetest moment with him was when he was talking about his mommy and daddy and asking if we could see them. He then began to sing "I am a Child of God." What wonderful parents to teach him the words and what a great kid to sing them.

I am so excited for their family and I am so lucky I got to be there. Ty is an awesome kid and Shawn is an adorable baby. I am happy to have a new nephew!

Cabin Fever

It has been months since we last visited the promise land of Fairview. Finally on Saturday we were able to go down and have the most fun we have ever had. It was Michelles first time snowmobiling and I scared the crap out of her. Needless to say she isn't too fond of snowmobiling but she did enjoy snow shoeing. We had the whole family up there with us minus Cale and Melody. On top of the beautiful weather we had 4 to 41/2 feet of snow to play in. It was pretty fun to watch Ryan almost kill himself on the killer sled hill that Eli made for us. I can't wait to go back and snowmobile again. It was a blast. Caden was having so much fun that he finally got too tired and fell asleep in Michelles arms. Also that is Logan underneath Kaitlyn and Caden it was a pretty funny shot. And the picture at the top well some of the boys from the cabin might remember it best because that is the hot spring. And lets hear it for the almost 60 year ol man Randy making a couple of trips down the sled hill. All and all we had a blast.

SUCCESS!!!!!!

I am so happy to report that the child known as Hellion in former blogs is being removed from my class!! When we come back on track in March, she will no longer make my days dreadful! Unfortunately my principal does not have balls and has decided to just move Hellion into my friend's class. This makes me feel horrible inside, but there is nothing I can do about it. I have taken all I can from this Hellion and now it is time for me to actually enjoy my job. It is a bittersweet success, but I am glad that this ordeal is finally over!
