Preschool

We had preschool orientation last week. To put it short, it was a disaster. Tanner fell and scraped both his knees before he went in and cried the whole time! He is such a softie when he gets hurt! (As a side note, his best friend goes to preschool with him. Paxton woke up and told his dad he was all ready to go, but he needed a bandaid first...just in case Tanner got hurt, so he would stop crying! What a good friend!!)
So, if you know me well, you know what I did the whole week waiting for school to start...I worried. We read The Kissing Hand, Llama Llama Misses Mama, and talked about what it would be like. I even promised a trip to Chic-fil-A if there were no tears.
Much to my surprise, Tanner had his backpack on and was out the door at 9! We didn't even have to be there until 9:30. He was SO excited. I walked him to the stairs and watched him go. He didn't even say goodbye to his teary mommy. He just walked right in, hung up his backpack and went to work.

Good thing I worried so much, right?

Tanner is 3!!!

I can't believe that my little Tanner-man is 3! For his birthday, we decided that we would ride the tram at Snowbird. It was a lot of fun. We rode it up and hiked to the ski lift and rode that down. It was so fun!

We went to chic-fil-a for lunch and the awesome owner let Tanner have a hat and make his own ice cream!
We have successfully indoctrinated our child to have a golf course cake for his third birthday!
Tanner shares his birthday with his Great-Grandma Seaman who was sweet and sent a card to her "birthday buddy!"
The day would not be complete without a visit to Grandma Knutti! Grandma got him a Woody and Buzz who he has not let go of since!
We love Tanner more than we could ever say. We are so grateful he is part of our family. He has such a sweet spirit that was meant just for our family. I have never seen another 3 year old with so much compassion. He begs to see Grandma Knutti, to sit by her, to color with her and to give her hugs and kisses. He sat at the hospital with her waiting for a surgery to start for 2 and a half hours and was so well behaved, the nurses brought him stickers.  I cannot imagine a better kid for us.
As a side note, please pray for my mom! She is going through a particularly hard time in her life and needs all the blessings and peace she can get.

Lake Mary

This is one of the hikes I remember doing with my family. We used to make our dad pack a raft up and then we would paddle around. I wish that I were strong enough to pack it up.
Tanner was such an awesome hiker and did the whole thing without being carried at all! It helps to have brave older cousins who are so much fun to be with!
